Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently shooting for her next production venture ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’. Samantha is not just acting in the film but is also backing it as a producer. This time, she is pushing herself to a new level. The film sees Samantha performing most of the action and stunt scenes on her own. What makes it even more special is that she is doing many of these intense scenes wearing a saree.
Action in a saree
The traditional wear saree takes on a new meaning in ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’. Samantha turns it into a sign of strength and power. She performs tough stunt sequences with very little help from body doubles. Also, after doing strong action roles in ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Citadel’, Samantha wanted to challenge herself again. Hence, in this film, she decided to go further.
Strong team
‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ is directed by Nandini Reddy. Raj Nidimoru is the creative force behind the project.Samantha is reuniting with Nandini Reddy after their hit film ‘Oh! Baby’. The cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth. But more than the cast it is the heart of the story that stands out.
Samantha on stories with soul
Earlier Samantha spoke to Mumbai Mirror about the film’s idea and her vision as a producer. She said, “We’re building a space for stories that move you, stories that stay long after the credits roll. Maa Inti Bangaram is born from that belief — it celebrates love, belonging, and the everyday values that hold us together.”She also shared her journey as a producer. “My journey from actor to producer has been about growth with both learning and unlearning. It has been focused on wanting to shape narratives that go beyond the frame, that speak to the heart.”For Samantha, producing is more than business. “For me, producing isn’t just about making movies; it’s about curating voices, working with various kinds of talent and creating work that feels authentic and enduring while being sellable.”
