Nawazuddin fondly recalls that Yadav’s residence served as a sanctuary for many, stating, “When Rajpal was getting good work, he would feed a lot of people. He supported us when we were struggling in the industry. Not once did he back out from helping. He has helped many struggling actors. His house was like a langar, anybody could walk in and eat. He jokes a lot, but in reality, he is a very sensitive human being.”Rajpal Yadav clarifies Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s commentsDuring an interview with UP Tak, Rajpal addressed Siddiqui’s kind words about him. Responding to Siddiqui’s comments about people sharing meals at his home, Rajpal offered a heartfelt clarification. The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ actor said, “He didn’t eat at my place. That was his home, his food. Because I got work thanks to him. There were 10–15 actors from different states, but it didn’t matter who had work or didn’t. What mattered was that we all ate together, laughing every evening. He gave me the credit, that’s his nobility. But none of that was mine. It was only his.”Rajpal Yadav thanks supporters after releaseThe actor went on to reveal that his wife, Radha, informed him about several people who personally reached out to extend support during his difficult time. “I thank everyone who poured in their support on social media. And those who haven’t come on social media, and never will, there’s a long list there too. When I got out of jail, my wife told me how many people had reached out personally. I haven’t even checked my phone properly yet,” said Rajpal.Rajpal Yadav’s long-standing debt case explainedRajpal’s financial troubles date back to 2010, when he borrowed Rs 5 crore from Delhi-based Murli Projects Pvt Ltd to produce his first film as a director, ‘Ata Pata Laapata’. The project failed commercially, and the loan remained unsettled. Later, seven of the cheques he issued for repayment bounced, as recorded in court documents. Although the court in 2024 instructed him to take concrete steps toward repayment, multiple violations of those conditions led to an order in February 2026 directing the actor to surrender.
