While appearing for a recent episode of ‘The Graham Norton Show’, Seyfried opened up about her experience while working on the sets of ‘The Housemaid.’ The star opened up about how she was credited as an executive producer on the film, something that she was never made aware of until very late. She was accompanied by Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, and Johannes Radebe.She shared on the show that, “I’m a producer on it and I didn’t know until three weeks in and I saw the call sheet, and I was like, ‘Executive producer? I didn’t sign up for that.’” When she found out that she had been given the extra credit, the ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actress revealed that she directly reached out to the producer of the film to talk about the matter. After their conversation, she found out that her agent had been the one behind that credit. She further shared that the executive producer credit was a “vanity credit”, further adding, “I didn’t do s‑‑‑ to make that movie. I only acted in it. That’s the thing about vanity credits. It’s like, I don’t want people to get it twisted. What Margot does is really intensely developing movies from jump. I just jumped in, had a bunch of fun, and left. And now I’m like, they’re sending me on a vacation.”

About ‘The Housemaid’

The film is based on Freida McFadden’s best-selling 2022 novel and follows the story of a wealthy housewife and her husband who hire a housemaid to take care of their home. While things seem perfect on the outside, one by one they start to unravel as the housemaid, Millie starts to uncover the truth behind the walls.
