Taking to social media, she offered an honest glimpse into her recovery and the warmth she has been receiving from close friends. On Tuesday, Kiran posted a cheerful photo of herself resting on a sofa, smiling at the camera despite being unwell. Her pet cat was seen sitting near her feet, gazing ahead. Alongside the image, she wrote, “Ok folks, I now have chikungunya and yes Miri is an excellent paramedic, timely monitoring her mamma’s fever.”In another Instagram story, she opened up further about the challenges of recuperation. “Taking it slow, admiring my friends’ cards, and catching up on my reading, when I can hold up the book! I know you know this but the joint pain is so (skeleton face emoji, exploding head emoji). TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS.”Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne viral infection that typically causes high fever and intense joint pain, which can linger for weeks in some cases. On the professional front, Kiran’s most recent directorial venture was Laapataa Ladies. The film starred Sparsh Shrivastava along with newcomers Pratibha Ranta and Nitanshi Goel in leading roles, while Ravi Kishan played a significant part. Though it did not perform strongly at the box office, the film earned widespread critical praise and later gained popularity on OTT platforms, helping its lead actors gain recognition. It was also selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars, although it did not advance to the final shortlist.
