‘The Housemaid’ is based on Freida McFadden’s best-selling 2022 novel. The story follows Millie, played by Sydney Sweeney, a young woman trying to escape a troubled past. She takes up a live-in job as a housemaid for Nina and Andrew Winchester, portrayed by Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar. What begins as a fresh start soon turns unsettling as secrets inside the house slowly surface, putting Millie in danger.Apart from Sweeney, Seyfried, and Sklenar, the film also stars Michele Morrone as Enzo, the Winchesters’ groundskeeper who becomes Millie’s ally.
