Ayesha Khan is basking in the success of Dhurandhar and the overwhelming response to her dance number Shararat. As the film continues to draw praise, the actress has been reflecting on her journey so far — from her early life and social media stardom to Bigg Boss and finally stepping into the film industry.
‘I would never compare myself to them’
In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Ayesha addressed the frequent comparisons made between her and established performers like Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia. Making her stance clear, she said, “I have seen people who compare me with others. I’ve seen some reels of me being compared to Nora Fatehi or Tamannaah Bhatia. I feel like I would never compare myself to them. I’m always in awe whenever I look at them. Such wonderful women doing such great things in life. I could never do what Nora is doing; she is incredible.”Ayesha also highlighted Nora’s unmatched stage presence and stamina, adding that sustaining such high energy throughout a performance is something she deeply admires.
‘Comparison will never make me happy’
The actress went on to explain that comparisons do not motivate her and, in fact, hold no value for her personal growth.“If anyone thinks comparison makes me happy, it will never do that. I look at everyone with so much respect because I am new to the industry. I’m still in the learning phase, so much I am yet to learn. These are the people who have seen so much in their lives,” she shared.Ayesha underlined that being at an early stage of her career makes her more focused on learning rather than competing.
Ayesha on Tamannaah
Speaking about Tamannaah Bhatia, Ayesha didn’t hold back her admiration. She acknowledged the longevity and impact Tamannaah has had across industries.“Tamannaah Bhatia has been working since forever. What makes you think that I would ever want to compare myself or my journey with hers? She is an incredible woman doing so much for herself. As a woman, when I saw Aaj Ki Raat, I was like ‘Wow, what is this’,” she concluded.
No rift with Krystal D’Souza
Addressing rumours of differences with her Shararat co-star Krystal D’Souza, Ayesha clarified that there is no tension between them. She shared that they often catch up and maintain a warm equation.
