‘The Traitors US Season 4’: All about the murder mystery game show and its new twists

Ready for more lies, backstabbing, and jaw-dropping twists? ‘The Traitors US’ is back for Season 4, and it’s bigger, wilder, and sneakier than ever. Three brand-new episodes dropped on January 8, kicking off the Emmy-winning murder mystery game with a bang. If you love reality TV where nobody’s safe, and trust is just another weapon, this one’s for you.

What ‘The Traitors US’ is all about

So here’s the setup: 23 celebrities — think reality stars, athletes, entertainers — are dropped into a spooky Scottish castle. They’re all after a $250,000 prize, but there’s a catch. Everyone gets a secret role: most are “Faithfuls” trying to grow the prize money by working together, but a handful are “Traitors,” and their job is to sabotage the group and stay hidden. Every episode, the group gathers at the Roundtable to vote out someone they think is a Traitor. If the Faithfuls get them all, they split the money. But if even one Traitor slips through to the end, they take the whole pot for themselves. Hosted by the ever-dramatic Alan Cumming, it’s part strategy, part social experiment, and all chaos.

‘The Traitors US Season 4’: What we know so far

This season, things get even trickier. The show heads back to Ardross Castle, but now there’s a new twist: in addition to the usual three Traitors, there’s a Secret Traitor. Nobody knows who it is — not even the other Traitors or the viewers at first. The secret traitor meets with Cumming in secret and picks four “victims” each night. The regular Traitors then have to choose who gets axed. It totally throws off everyone’s game, and suddenly, even the Traitors aren’t sure who to trust. Early episodes already dropped some wild surprises, including a dramatic reveal of the Secret Traitor’s identity that has everyone guessing what’s next. And the cast? You’ve got Donna Kelce (NFL royalty and mom to Travis and Jason), Lisa Rinna (yes, from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Candiace Dillard Bassett (Real Housewives of Potomac), Rob Rausch (Love Island USA), Monét X Change (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Tara Lipinski (Olympic gold medalist), Eric Nam (singer), Ron Funches (comedian), and a bunch more. It’s a wild mix, and the personalities clash in the best way possible.

Where to watch

Season 4 started streaming on January 8 exclusively on Peacock. New episodes drop every Thursday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, leading up to the big finale and reunion on February 26, 2026. If you missed the earlier seasons, don’t stress — they’re all still up on the streaming platform, so you can binge the chaos from the beginning.
